Tuesday 8th November 2016 marked the 18th Planning Awards ceremony. The Scottish Awards for Quality in Planning is one of the Government’s most prestigious events. It celebrates achievements in planning, right from the detail of processing through to the bigger picture of creating places which will become the legacy of our professionalism. This year Planning and Architecture deliberately took the time to change the format of the Awards to reflect the ‘Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design’. In modernising the Awards, it attracted a record high number of applications – over 60 in total of which 32 were shortlisted.
